Solve the mysteries of Tutankhamun

Categories : Exhibitions and Museums, published on : 1/2/24

Have you ever dreamed of being an intrepid archaeologist in the Valley of the Kings, opening the tomb of a pharaoh that has lain undisturbed for thousands of years? Thanks to the exhibition Tutankhamun, the Immersive Pharaonic Experience, you can partake in all that excitement! Take advantage of the special Valentine’s Day offer of the Platine Hotel and discover ancient Egyptian treasures…

A journey into adventure

You start your adventure in the tent of archaeologist Howard Carter, in the heart of the Valley of the Kings, in 1922. Clues are hidden in various objects, each an accurate reproduction, produced by the teams of the Cairo Museum, of the wonders found in the tomb of Tutankhamun. By solving puzzles and following the plan of the tomb, you move through the 3,000 m² of the exhibition to reach your goal, the treasure of the pharaoh's burial chamber. Awaiting you there is a monumental cartographic projection covering 200 m², retracing the journey of Tutankhamun into the afterlife, combining mythology and archaeology.

Bringing together science and entertainment

While Tutankhamun, the Immersive Pharaonic Experience is intended to be fun and exciting, it is nevertheless unfailingly rigorous in terms of historical content. A recognised Egyptologist who teaches at the Ecole du Louvre and regularly carries out excavations in Egypt has verified the consistency of each detail. The reproductions of the objects are of exemplary fidelity and participating in the challenge will help you learn some fascinating facts about the traditions, lifestyles and beliefs of ancient Egypt. Ultimately, this exhibition is a great way to share the knowledge and magnificence of Egyptian civilisation during that nation’s New Kingdom era.

Located, like the Platine Hôtel, on the Left Bank, the Galerie Montparnasse exhibition dedicated to Tutankhamun offers a wonderful experience for two. Remember to book as soon as possible as our Valentine's Day offer only applies to reservations made before February 11th, 2024.
