From October 20th to 23rd, the FIAC – International Contemporary Art Fair – will once again take over the capital, this time for its 6th edition. This will be a great opportunity to soak up the latest trends in the art market, discover new galleries and invest in the works of up-and-coming artists. Experience a relaxing break to the pulse of contemporary art at the Platine Hotel!
New venue, same energy
As the Grand Palais is closed for maintenance work, FIAC 2022 will take over the Grand Palais Ephémère. Situated on the Champ de Mars, this astonishing temporary wooden structure will host art galleries from all over the world. From the biggest names in the market to young, innovative galleries which will have their own sector, every facet of contemporary art is presented. Enthusiasts and professionals will delight in making discoveries while those who are new to the contemporary art world can familiarise themselves with current trends at their own pace.
FIAC outside the walls
As in previous years, the FIAC will take over the whole city, presenting painting, sculpture, photography, installations, videos, performances, and digital arts. In addition to the main venue, the fair will take place in galleries throughout the city while works will be exhibited in emblematic places such as the Place Vendôme, the Jardin des Tuileries and the Delacroix Museum. Once again, Parades for FIAC, a performance festival, will seek to dissolve the boundaries between art, music and dance. Finally, several cycles of conferences open to all will be held at the Grand Palais Éphémère, as part of the Conversation Rooms. You can find the full programme on the event website or contact the Platine Hotel team.
Paris continues to enrich its appeal for contemporary art enthusiasts. The success of the FIAC testifies to its popularity with enthusiasts and the general public alike.
