The French Open 2020 is happening!
There were so many doubts about whether one of the most famous tournaments in international tennis would go ahead this year. Although numerous sporting events were simply cancelled in the spring and summer, the Roland Garros management succeeded in ensuring the French Open championship would happen by pushing it back from the end of May to the end of September. Thus, the qualifying rounds will take place from September 21st to 25th, while the main event will run from then until October 11th. Please rest assured that the entire event will be organised to ensure everyone's safety and the most current recommended hygiene measures and social distancing protocols will be observed.
The big news of the French Open tennis tournament 2020
It may have been delayed until the autumn, but you’ll still find everything that makes the sporting event often called simply the Roland Garros so great. That includes the biggest names in world tennis, highly challenging clay court matches, and plenty of stylish and elegant places to relax such as terraces, restaurants and shops. The big innovation for 2020 can be found on the Philippe Chartrier court. The stadium’s renowned centre court has been fitted with a retractable roof, as well as lighting to allow matches to be played at night. The Roland Garros is perfectly ready to welcome you this autumn!
